Mailbox Ministry Grading Procedures
Add the date on the Disposition Sheet (DS)
Place today’s date in the green section of the DS.
Take a moment to pray for the student
Pray for spiritual wisdom and insight to grow in the knowledge of God, for the student to understand the confident hope that the Lord has given each believer. (Ephesians 1:16-20)
Check the Lesson on Disposition Sheet (DS)
Match the lessons, tracts, and puzzles to those listed on the disposition sheet.
Review Lesson Packet
Look for the student’s birthday or salvation date on the lesson, write it on the Disposition Sheet. Set aside any notes, poems, prayer requests, or pictures. Place testimonies into the testimony box.
Puzzles
Check to see that the return puzzle is listed on the DS. If it is listed and it is not there, tell the Floor Manager or the Mailbox Ministry Coordinator.
If the puzzle is done well, write “Good” on the outside of the puzzle and put an “S” on the DS behind the buzzle code. If the puzzle is not complete, write a message at the top of the puzzle, “Try again,” or “Please complete,” and write a “U” on the DS behind the puzzle code.
Lessons
Before you begin, make sure the answer key is the same date as the one that is on the exam (where applicable).
Make sure to answer questions that the student has asked in the lesson. Write a few good comments like those at the left of this page in order to encourage the student. Use a Bible verse to reinforce your comments. If you don’t know how to answer a student, please check with Ron.
Please refrain from writing the correct answers on the lesson until you know the student has passed the exam.
Grades
Using the grading scale (GS), put a grade on each lesson. On the Disposition Sheet next to the lesson number, put the number wrong to the left and the grade to the right of the slash. Put your initials in the “Graded By” column when you have graded that lesson.
Do Over
For the lessons that need to be redone, place DO next to the Lesson Number. Check with the Floor Manager or with Barbara to make sure it is a Do Over.
Completing a Lesson
Put the graded and new lessons including the tracts and SAE into the student’s envelope.
Completing a Disposition Sheet
Put the envelopes in the order they appear on the Disposition Sheet, put a rubber band around them, and place them in the “Graded Box.”
